Featured in the Michelin Guide for 8 Consecutive Years
Founded in 1948, this is a specialty unagi restaurant located in Tokyo.
Our Kanto-style unagi, made from large, fatty eel, is carefully steamed with tea leaves before being grilled over Binchotan charcoal, making it a truly exquisite dish.
The special sauce, continuously refined for over 70 years, has a light yet deep flavor that complements the eel without being overpowering, allowing customers to enjoy its taste all year round.
A prestigious unagi restaurant recognized as one of Japan’s finest, featured in the Michelin Guide for eight consecutive years.
Owner Yukikazu Watabe
After gaining experience at some of Japan’s most renowned restaurants, he traveled to Europe, training in France and Spain to refine his culinary skills. He later became the owner of "Watabe."
The astonishingly tender, thick-cut eel that melts in the mouth, combined with his creative unagi dishes refined through training in France and Spain, has earned high praise in the Michelin Guide for its originality.
